Description: 10 cm ruptured bulla with red and pink base and superficial undermined sloughing border
Comments: This 3-year-old boy developed small blisters on his leg which enlarged over 1-3 days, ruptured, and began to dry and heal while new lesions continued to appear. He had no fever, normal appetite, and a normal complete blood count. He was treated with clindamycin with rapid clearing of the eruption.

Comments: This tick was found embedded on the neck of a healthy 35-year-old man. Note that the tick is firmly attached by its mouthparts, and there is some bruising in the surrounding skin. This female tick is partially engorged. The brusing appears more prominently under dermascopic examination in the associated image.

Comments: This healthy preschooler developed an itchy painful crusted papule on her left knee which enlarged over a week to form an round plaque with multiple rings comprised of edematous crusted papules and confluent vesicles. Culture grew Trichophyton tonsurans, and she was treated with oral griseofulvin with dramatic improvement in the lesion noted 2 weeks later on the associated image. To relieve her intense pruritus a class 2 topical steroid was applieddaily for a week. The lesion cleared with postinflammatory hyperpigmentation 1 month later.
