Comments: This healthy 6-year-old boy developed a pigmented plaque on his knee over a few months. The lesion reached 1 cm in diameter and then remained stable for 6 months before it was biopsies. The pathology revealed a pigmented Spitz nevus with innocent features.

Description: Panel-A shows the cyst after excision, Panel-B and C show the cyst bisected, and Panel-D is a photomicrograph which shows the lumen at the bottom and the epidermal surface at the top.
Comments: A 20-year-old woman complained fo a slowly growing swelling on the left shoulder for 2years. On examination the mass was soft, non-tender, and not attached to deeper structures. A small punctum was noted on the surface. Fine needle aspirate cytology yeilded gray white material which showed benign squamous cells without inflammatory cells consistent with an epidermoid cyst.
