| Comments: | This 85-year-old woman, who was on anticoagulation therapy for atrial fibrillation, developed a well demarcated area of hemorrhage of the right flank and hip. Her INR was greated than 10, and ultrasound of the pelvis demonstrated an introperitoneal and retroperitoneal hemorrhage. Turner sign is characterized by blue-purple or green-bronze discoloration of the flank associated with hemoperitoneum. Subtle blue discoloration of the periumbilical skin secondary to hemoperitoneum is referred to as a Cullen sign. | ||||
